Compra Investments was established in Guernsey in 2020 by Matt Hemans and Dan Collins to look for turnaround investment opportunities in the financial services space.
The first acquisition was an independent Trust company Weighbridge Trust Ltd. WTL is a boutique provider of Trust and corporate services head quartered in Guernsey and has investments under management of over GBP 250m.
Current opportunities under investment review include a UK Corporate services provider and a Commercial Property offering. The founders also own an independent tax advisory business Qualis Ltd. Qualis advises UK high net worth individuals, Corporate providers and non doms in their international tax affairs.
Matt Hemans
Matt Hemans has over 25 years' experience in the financial services and property investment sectors. Previously he was Country head of Deutsche Bank’s Fiduciary operations in Switzerland and is STEP qualified, ICSA qualified and holds a degree in Business Economics and various diplomas from the London School of Economics.
Dan Collins
Dan Collins has 20 years’ experience in tax advisory working at 3 of the Big four over his career. Dan holds a degree in law and is a Chartered tax adviser and joined from EY where he was Head of Tax and Trust in Guernsey.
